Michelle Limited adopted the perfect angle and size for optimum contact with the ear and comfortable fit for the best sound quality and listening pleasure. The "Michelle Limited's" performance now shares the performance characteristics of IEMs costing three times as much. The cable used in the Michelle is not common copper. Instead, it is a copper cable plated with silver. The cable is manufactured by first compressing the silver plated copper wire, which is then flattened and rolled into a steady interval that is then used to wrap around the Kevlar.
This newly developed cable has astounding tensile strength and delivers the full dynamic range of music. There are two different types of cables provided - a 3. Conventional straight cables do not handle the frequent bending of cables and often short out. The intertwined cable disperses the stress to the cable and offers better resilience. It's also easier to wear around the outer ears as the cable shape can be easily adjusted for the best fit.
Close Menu. Only 0 left in stock. In fact the only IEMs that have blown me away are dynamic drivers. On top of just being great people to work with, they make great stuff and care a lot about the Audiophile Community.
Pricing is often expensive and claims of sonic improvement can cause debate. In order to receive quality and professionalism, the pricing for cables can be quite high. In order to get better pricing, cables can take a long time to be custom-made by a one-man shop or sent overseas from an unknown vendor.
This cable could plug directly into several of the Audeze headphones with an adapter. I also have a pair of Audeze How well will these headphones drive an Astell and Kern SR25 mark 2? Hello all. In the interest of making the information more accessible, I'm reporting my review here. This originally appeared at HeadFi.
I'll skip my pics as there are already many good ones on the main product page.
Enjoy the full range of sonic details, thanks to the sophisticated 3 balanced amateur driver design, fused with Freqphase technology. A proper "seal" is essential to the the performance of any universal IEM. The design of the "Michelle Limited" is the result of an exhaustive research and development project on the ergonomics of IEM fit.

It's also easier to wear around the outer ears as the cable shape can be easily adjusted for the best fit. It is very lightweight and more durable than nylon, and has the advantage of being very tough. Because it is made of light weight organic polymers such as carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen, allowing it to be 5 times more stronger than steel. Kevlar is particularly strong against friction and is commonly used for body armor and aircraft tires due to its excellent shock absorption. However, it is a two-pin proprietary cable.
Its wires weave to create a thin and manageable cable, although there is a part of me wondering how the cable would perform under stress and long term use. So far, the cable works well! I only mention it to encourage potential buyers to take good care of their products. Basically, Jerry Harvey Audio designed the tube lengths for each driver so that all frequencies reach the ears within.
As a result, the stereo width is more accurate. Additionally the frequency response is truer and more even. This comes as the result from a boost at both 30 Hz and 60 Hz. While not all folks will like this, I thought it was fun, and energetic. I particularly think this boost works well because of how fast reacting the earphones handle low end transients like kick drums. There is a low-mid boost at Hz, which for some mixes gives maybe too much energy to bass guitars.
Instead it just adds energy. Therefore, I found myself really enjoying classical music with these earphones because there is enough room for everything, while still maintaining thickness. There are few other frequency cuts: at Hz, 1. This might make you think vocals would sit lower in the mix but a boost at 5 kHz prevents that from happening.
However, vocals definitely feel on the brighter side and as a result have a more intimate quality than they would otherwise. This is particularly nice for genres like soul, hip-hop, folk, and indie, but less enticing for heavier music where the vocal needs to have more body and less detail. However, they are not harsh. They have wonderful extension which breathes life into drums, strings, vocals, and guitars. The intimacy of the high-mids travels up through the high end with its delicate dynamic details.
There are frequency boosts at 7 kHz, 10 kHz and 12 kHz. The boost at 7 kHz makes some voices sibilant, but many sound smooth and airy.
